Hector Alamilla is a Mexico-based photographer living in Guadalajara. Hector gets his inspiration from the organic mood of his environment and the female body. He loves to shoot on film and almost always improvises in order to capture the pure beauty of a moment.
How did the idea for the series come about?
I met Anita on Instagram. She is rocking everything, everywhere, so I wrote to her and was pleasantly surprised when she got back to me haha. She was very far away from my town, but she was so cool and came to visit me. We didn’t shoot for long, it was a small shoot using only natural light but Anita is gorgeous and has an amazing soul and vibe, so everything came together great.
What do you hope to achieve through your photography?
I’m trying to teach people that it’s not so bad to pose naked in front of a camera or a photographer. In my country there still exists this kind of a taboo that being naked is bad. So I’m trying to show these guys and girls that the human body is art, and it’s possible to create even more art with it when good things come together.
Your ideal morning?
Waking up late on a sunny morning, having some nice breakfast and putting some loud music on and dance a little bit haha.
Your dream person to photograph?
Someone with an amazing vibe and willing to shoot with all their energy and happiness.
What are you most excited about for the 2018?
I feel excited about all the projects I want to do and can’t wait to start working on them with the amazing people who love photography as much as I do.
