Inês by Nuno Andrade

Nuno Andrade is a 28-year-old photographer born and bred in Lisbon, where he still resides.

How did the shoot with Inês come about?

It was a crazy day actually. My schedule had been pretty hectic so I only had a day when I was free to shoot a lot of ideas that I’d had with different models. Somehow I was able to fit 4 shoots into one day back to back. I had been following Inês on Instagram for a while and I wanted to shoot her so I got in touch and we were able to fit it into that hectic day.

“I just try to have an honest connection with everyone I photograph, I think that makes all the difference and the photos then speak for themselves.“

How would you describe your style?

I don’t know if I really have a ‘style‘, or if I do, I think it’s pretty effortless I guess. I just try to have an honest connection with everyone I photograph, I think that makes all the difference and the photos then speak for themselves.

How do you keep yourself going creatively?

A lot of Tumblr (less now because of the new policies) and Instagram for inspiration and good references to try and keep pushing myself. Because of my lack of time now, I tend to go for more simple shoots, but I always keep references for something different.

What was the most inspiring encounter/moment you had lately?

Well, I’m very lucky because Lisbon is now a very sought after city for tourism, so I’ve been fortunate to meet a lot of great people and creatives from all over the world and connect with them! Wouldn’t be fair to pick one haha.
