How did the idea for the series come about?
I’ve always loved photographing women just being women. There isn’t ever really an idea before I shoot a creative. I just go with the natural movements of the women I photograph and the mood is created all by itself.
Can we photograph the female body differently in a more powerful way?
Every time I photograph a woman I try to make her as comfortable as possible. As soon as a woman is comfortable she will exude confidence. When a woman is comfortable in her own skin it shows, and this is what makes the images powerful. I think it’s very important.
What inspires you?
I am constantly looking at other photographers’ work. It inspires me to be creative when I see so many talented people. It gets me excited about my future shoots.
How would you define beauty?
There are a million ways to define beauty. For me, beauty is confidence.
Film or digital?
I would love to know how to shoot film. One day I will learn how to! But, for now, digital.
What makes you happy and what’s next for you?
I’m happiest when I’m shooting something creative with a model who is down to try new things! Especially when we come up with tons of ideas together and the shots just keep getting better and better. I also love shooting with a whole team who vibes really well together. I am going to continue shooting what I love and submitting to magazines. I’m looking forward to working with more models and creating images that make them feel beautiful.
