How did the idea for the series come about?

The idea for this series came up instantly when I met Maryna, I knew she was perfect for it.

How did your shoot with Maryna go?

It was nice, we shot at my sister’s apartment, Maryna has tons of experience as a model so in a way it made the session more easy and comfortable for me.

Can we photograph the female body differently in a more powerful way?

I don’t know exactly how we could photograph the bodies in a more powerful way but I think there are always new and nice ways to photograph them, and it’s great to see how these pictures make the women feel more powerful and comfortable about their own bodies so I think that’s what really matters.

What inspires you?

All kind of things, people, music and all the artistic expressions in general.

How would you define beauty?

Something so nice that makes all the other things disappear, even for a moment.

Film or digital?

Film! It gives me something I cannot reach with digital.

What makes you happy?

The process of creating a new work, in photography, music or video, from the very first idea to the realisation of it, it gives me tons of adrenaline.

What’s next for you?

I’m finishing a project that combines photography, video and music, it’s made of different sessions that I made in the past months and I hope to finish it pretty soon.
